Congratulations
In response to CCP Hilmarrrgghs Blog and Zulus Outlining of future developments I should like to be the first to thank profusely those who have fought for the game we all love (well quite like anyway) EvE online. Selflessly volunteering all their time and effort, blood sweat and tears in an attempt to stand up for the player base.
I speak of those selfless individuals in the CSM who have single handley altered the path of EvE and perhaps, dare I say, MMO development as a whole for ever.
I jest of course. The actions of the collaborator council over the past three months have been nothing short of revolting. Chest beating and snooty NDA wink wink comments that achieved nothing more then dragging this whole escapade out for a longer time then necessary. Prompt resignation after the internal newsletters were leaked by some brave individual at CCP would have saved three months of face palm. Instead, they retained a nice line on their resumes and a jolly old knees up at the cost of their e-integrity. Even now in these very forums , they smugly pat each other on the back and disgustingly claim credit for the sacrifice of others. But enough of them.
The Real Heroes Of EvE
The real hero's of EvE are those amongst us who after exhausting years of of our lives attempting to participate in the dog and pony show that is ccps consultation process, called the bluff of the the megalomaniac mentality and promptly quit. Pow. Me and my 38.6 alt accounts gone to the wind.
NOOOOOOO! they cried, smashing the glass frontage of the cabinet that holds their plastic megathron model (made from the finest cobalt blue plastic retailing for around 199.99 dollars in the eve store) The line must be drawn HERE! This far and no further.
And now a glimmer of hope arrives that their sacrifice was not wasted. All those agonizing hours being forced to play Crimecraft Bleedout were not in vain. Our cause may have succeeded,
This is not the end, it is not even the beginning of the end.. but it may perhaps be the end of the beginning
So a wise man once said. Now is NOT the time to rest on our laurels.. Re-subbing now will only reinforce the idea that our righteous indignation can be bought off by the same currency which demanded we quit in the first place. Words. From the heart, we are told they were. From the wallet I suspect. But time will tell.
Another equally wise man once said we must see what they do and not what they say.
